NamSys Inc. Looking for Software Developer – Remote at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

NamSys is seeking highly intelligent and innovative Java Software Developers who truly enjoy developing and delivering elegant SaaS applications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for development and learning new technologies. They are a team player possessing strong analytical as well as technical skills, and are able to communicate the logic behind technical decisions to non-tech stakeholders. They must be comfortable working in an agile environment and have the ability to “take the wheel” when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing development of our suite of cloud-based web and mobile (Vaadin, Android) applications
• Self-management of small projects covering development, testing, and delivery
• Collaborate with partners and internal staff on new projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years software development business experience
• Highly skilled in Java development including efficient function design and popular design patterns
• Skilled in object-oriented concepts including abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and reflection
• Experience in navigating large code bases
• Knowledge of traditional and newer databases (e.g. SQL, Redis, DynamoDB) is an important asset
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with GIT
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services is an asset
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Personable and able to work directly with customers and partners (in English but Spanish fluency is an asset)
• Must be authorized to work in Canada
