Come work for the Financing Fraud sector, at 600 de La Gauchetière in Montréal, as an Analyst/Investigator. The sector’s mission is to minimize losses while carrying out fraud prevention and detection related to the fraudulent use of credit cards and debit cards.
Reporting to the Manager, you will ensure the quality of actions and services provided by acting as a card analyst, while helping to resolve operational problems and improve existing processes. Moreover, you will carry out various everyday analyses to provide useful information for decision-making while mitigating the Bank’s risks of loss and fraud.
Your role
Prevent and detect at-risk credit and debit card transactions from various channels
Collect, compile and check the accuracy of various complex data
Analyze and interpret the information collected in order to explain discrepancies
Meticulously draft investigation reports
Collaborate in analyzing the performance of products, systems or processes
Analyze and provide useful information for decision-making in order to optimize work systems and processes
Carry out and coordinate project aspects in your activity sector
Serve our internal and external partners over the phone and by email
More specifically, you will:
Act as the liaison officer for internal and external partners
Maintain constant cooperation and active communication with various internal and external stakeholders
Provide useful information for decision-making, make recommendations while mitigating all risks and continuously improve processes
Interact with various sectors of the Bank and external partners to provide support per your expertise
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in place during everyday operational activities
Recommend risk mitigation measures that may include up to termination of a business relationship and follow up on implementation of your recommendations
Required skills
Completed college diploma and 4 to 5 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
Experience in customer service
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate effectively
Writing skills
Bilingualism, spoken and written (English/French). Ability to communicate effectively in English (for dealing with English-speaking clients outside Quebec)
Preferred skills
Expertise in fraud
Expertise in banking products (debit cards, credit cards and bank accounts)
Knowledge of payment card systems
