The activities of the Equity Derivatives Group are diverse. The primary focus of the group is to meet the needs of the three main types of clients (institutional investors, corporate clients and individuals) by offering structured investment products and traditional hedging methods.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions in the Structured Notes space. While suited for candidates that have recently graduated, this position offers an accelerated path to the execution of structured notes transactions with our international clients.
The candidate’s day-to-day activities will include:
Take charge of the execution of structured notes offerings, which includes handling pricing requests and the execution of new issuances and secondary market transactions.
An in-depth knowledge and comprehension of the different structures and underlying offered, coordination and management of outstanding pricing requests with the structuring team.
Development of new tools to improve internal process, improving the automation of current internal processes to contribute to the group’s business development growth plan and maintain databases of outstanding transactions.
Ensure coordination between the different trading, operational and legal teams during the execution of the different transactions with international clients.
Over-the-counter execution for hedging purposes.
Revision of the financial terms in the legal documentation for the execution of new transaction.
An in-depth knowledge and comprehension of various structured note issuance platforms and maintain the information/data up to date on theses platforms.
Handling the onboarding process for new clients.
Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking candidates who have:
Completed a graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Other qualifications may be considered.
Achieved outstanding academic performance.
Knowledge in programming (VBA required) and of Bloomberg.
High level of attention to detail and ability to manage time appropriately.
A keen interest in the capital markets.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and maintain relationships with our external clients and internal partners.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and in a team environment.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will frequently interact with clients/partners who speak a language other than French
