Reporting to National Quality and Assurance Manager, the Transportation Services Coordinator is responsible for all transactions including but not limited to, dispatching, reporting, metrics, as well as other transportation duties as assigned.
Position Description
· Responsible for the overall dispatching of transportation loads to drivers using our internal software.
· Verify trailer’s location and status and generate trailer status report.
· Dispatch assignment to drivers via system and phone when necessary.
· Report to Operations team daily over trailer’s condition, driver’s performance and special occasions.
· Responsible for trailer and truck repair service arrangement.
· PO and incident tracking and reporting.
· Communicate with different departments at client via phone and email for the information update of the trailer.
· Produce various driver’s performance reports with thorough analysis over different cycles of operations to Operations team.
· Review and report on specified metrics.
· Create client reports.
· Consistent communication and coordination with operations team and client.
· Develop positive relationships with drivers.
· Respond in a timely manner to internal and external requests.
· Cross functional communication with various internal departments including Operations, HR, and finance.
· Coordinate the movement of all NSSL controlled equipment.
· Maintain service records, permitting and licensing of NSSL equipment.
· Schedule and plan service intervals for service on trailers and tractors.
· Work with outside service providers for repairs to equipment.
· Monitor driver time keeping for compliance.
· Reconcile drivers’ hours of service.
· Collect and monitor PTI for all fleet equipment.
· Ensure drivers are confirmed and schedule for each client location.
· Client hotline to resolve issues and concerns.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· 2+ years of dispatch experience or similar.
· 2+ years’ experience in the transportation industry would be considered an asset.
· Degree or Diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience.
· Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
· Strong computer, organizational and analytical skills.
· Proven ability to deal productively and professionally with internal and external customers.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· High level of motivation and energy.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
