Software Developer in Test
Position Type: Full Time
Department: Software Factory
Location: Waterloo
Job Summary:
NAVBLUE, an Airbus company, is currently seeking a Software Developer in Test to join our growing team.
With a freshly mandated emphasis on automated testing, Navblue is looking for a test-focused software developer to help build testing tools and automation infrastructure, create automated tests at all levels of software, and guide teams towards implementing built-in quality development practices.
Our ideal candidate will eat, sleep, and breathe testing methodologies. The thought of untested classes keeps you up at night, and untested APIs live in your nightmares. You have a tattoo of the test pyramid, and UI testing (when appropriate!) doesn’t scare you. You get true satisfaction from green bars and the phrase “100% code coverage” fills you with joy.
You will work with a variety of cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to bolster their test-related knowledge and to increase the testability of the codebases. You will also help build multiple types of automated tests, as well as support and extend testing infrastructure. You may work on product features as required.
You adapt well and eagerly contribute toward continuous improvement. You understand that Agile is a mindset (not a set of meetings) and that change is not only beneficial but necessary for improvement. You recognize that an individual succeeds by supporting their team’s success.
