Navitas is seeking to employ a Marketing Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada supporting our partnership with the University of Manitoba, the International College of Manitoba (ICM).
This position will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Recruitment, the ICM College Director & Principal, the Director of Admissions, and the wider marketing, recruitment, and admissions teams in the execution of marketing strategies that contribute to the growth of student enrollments at ICM.
A key focus of this role will be in implementing strategies to drive increased student enrollments from designated regions. This will be achieved through the development of appropriate marketing materials, ongoing training and management of agents, attendance at key recruitment events, responding to inquiries from prospective students, and the tactical execution of inquiry conversion strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for designated markets based on the allocated budget to generate new leads and drive international enrolments across all programs. This includes leverage of various media (print, web, social networking) and participation in global recruitment initiatives.
Deliver ongoing training, support, and detailed program knowledge to external marketing and recruitment partners through multiple channels (in person, email, webinars, other digital marketing initiatives, etc.), often based in international time zones.
Cultivate and maintain solid, loyal relationships with ICM and recruitment channels including education agents, government organizations and sponsoring organizations, schools, and the Navitas global recruitment teams.
Provide detailed program counselling and admissions advice to prospective students and parents, both by email and at promotional events.
Travel extensively to designated or identified international markets.
Actively work to promote and achieve a diverse international student population.
Develop and implement detailed conversion and retention strategies and activities.
Work closely with the Navitas North America Admissions team and the ICM Student Services team to ensure accurate information about programs, requirements, and admissions processes are well communicated to prospective students, education agents, and the Navitas global recruitment teams.
Stay abreast of political and economic factors which may impact international recruitment and maintain strategic flexibility.
Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across all designated markets, including social media strategies, online conferencing, advertising, and promotion campaigns via Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Manage the budget and provide regular reports showing progress against recruitment goals.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Undergraduate degree with minimum 3 years of related experience; or a combination of education and 3-5 years related experience;
Experience in marketing, sales, and/or customer service;
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to ensure that targets are met;
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
Demonstrated experience in the use of technology to underpin marketing strategies and increase student enrolments;
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary;
Valid passport and ability to travel extensively internationally;
Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Desirable Skills
Ability to speak a second language;
Experience in post-secondary education marketing.
