NELSON AGGREGATES IS A MINING COMPANY involved in the extraction and manufacturing of aggregate materials for the construction industry.

We are searching for an energetic and ambitious individual for theSeasonal Fulltime position of Operator at our Uhthoff Orillia location.

KEY ACTIVITES

• This position requires extensive communication with the Mobile Equipment operators, Primary Plant Operator, and Superintendent to maintain budgeted production markers.
• Ensuring safe and efficient operation of the Aggregate processing Plant
• Work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
• Willing and flexible to work overtime as required
• Must be safety conscious with a pleasant customer service orientated attitude while working in a busy fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Reports to Plant Superintendent
• Operating Heavy Mobile Equipment, Skidsteer, Stackers and Tower when necessary
• Assist with maintenance on three vibratory screens, two impact crushers and multiple conveyors
• Identify hazards on site and possible solutions, perform general labour, assist with plant repairs and maintenance when required, complete inspections and fulfill safety requirements

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Mechanical background, Industrial plant operation/maintenance experience is an asset
• Communication skills are required verbally and in writing

PHYSICAL SKILL

• There is a need to walk, bend, lift and reach when performing duties
• This position requires sitting for long periods
• Exposure to constant radio noise
• Exposure to environmental elements
• Dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required
