The Role

Neo Financial is looking for a full-time Lead, AP/AR to join our team in our Calgary, AB headquarters. As our next Lead, AP/AR, you will play a key role in leading and optimizing our accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Using your in-depth knowledge and business driven mindset, you will recommend process improvements and facilitate our month end reporting and lead a high-performing team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Evaluate current processes for AP/AR and make recommendations for improvements
• Review and approve trade payment runs and billings, including coding, commodity tax and related bookkeeping
• Month end financial reporting for accrued receivables and payables
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Manage and maintain cash management controls in accordance with the company’s procedures
• Maintain and organize the finance and AP team email accounts and address both external and internal inquiries on a timely basis
• Provide support for our external audits
• You will be joining the team to continue building the AP/AR function! Over time, you will build, manage and train an AP/AR team

Who we are looking for:

• You have 5+ years of experience in AP/AR
• If you bring supervisory experience with AP/AR function, this is preferred
• If you bring experience in commodity tax processing, this is a definite asset
• You have the ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external working relationships to share information quickly and effectively
• You have strong analytical, decision making, planning, and organizational skills
• You’re comfortable working with autonomy and ownership in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines, taking initiative to resolve issues
