NES Fircroft Looking for Engineer Drafter at Calgary, Alberta, Canada Full Time

Our valued client, a large Oil & Gas company are seeking an Engineer Drafter to join their Calgary team on a long term contract basis.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and other data

• Develop and prepare design sketches

• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets

• Complete construction drafting packages (IFC) for engineers

• Collaborate with the design team to review drawings and designs.

• Verify drawings for compliance with specifications, codes, and other requirements

Skills and qualifications

• Ability to operate AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting software

• Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time

• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers

• Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe

• Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
