The opportunity
Our extensive footprint in Alberta covers a lot of ground, and our technicians need reliable, effective vehicles to get them safely to our sites and back home. Our Business Fleet Coordinator role will be engaged in supporting our teams in Alberta as we transition to a new third-party fleet management company. This role will handle complex datasets and impact how are vehicles are repaired, maintained, tracked, and billed. It’s a vital piece in our ability to successfully manage our fleet and continue to keep our assets and our technicians productive and safe.
What you’ll do
• Maintain the database of TC Energy fleet vehicles based in Alberta and southern British Columba
• Work closely with our Corporate team, other fleet coordinators across Canada and the new third-party fleet management company to establish, document, communicate and execute processes related to the transition to the new third-party fleet management company
• Generate/update Purchase Requisitions for operations expense – fuel & maintenance
• Process invoices
• Provide driver support on fleet management processes
• Provide manager support on fleet management processes (e.g. vehicle reassignments, budget monitoring, process clarification)
• Processing of vehicles for disposal
• Onboarding new drivers & managers to the new fleet management processes
• Entering new vehicle orders into the fleet management system
• Renewing and distributing safety fitness certification for Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV)
• Fleet SME for support on systemic escalations & issues
Minimum Qualifications
• Intermediate to Advanced experience and proficiency with various business software applications (SAP, Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Office Suite, Visio, Power BI)
• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 2+ years of related work experience
• Demonstrates a positive and professional attitude
• Demonstrates aptitude and willingness to be a change agent
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
• Excellent interpersonal skills – work collaboratively with functional, cross-functional and technical teams to build effective working relationships
• Proven process thinker with strong analytical, process and problem resolution skills
• Demonstrated experience leading/facilitating business problem discussions
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in vehicle fleet management for a large organization with 300+ vehicles to manage
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt) certification would be an asset
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management (Prosci) certification would be an asset
