Position Summary
The Field Technician will be responsible for on-site dispenser installation, service, preventative maintenance, site surveys, and repair of various beverage dispensing equipment at customer locations and facilities.
A day in the life of a Field service technician
• Receive dispatched service calls via the dispatcher.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair reported service issues and other encountered problems, including conducting quality drink checks (ratio/brix), temperature, and taste evaluations.
• Provide training to customers on the daily maintenance of dispensing equipment.
• Follow up with accounts until service calls are completed.
• Accurately report all service activities on invoices/service orders after each call.
• Complete and submit all other necessary information required by supervisor/manager promptly.
• Maintain accurate parts and equipment inventories, ensuring the vehicle is clean and organized.
• Travel throughout the region to assist other technicians as needed.
• Collaborate with the sales team, call center, help desk, and other technicians.
• Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, PPE, and Lock Out and Tag Out.
What will make you successful?
• Secondary education diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous field service experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, ability to read schematics, measure load, and strong customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to regularly lift and install equipment weighing up to 25 kilograms.
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to first-time fix and customer service excellence.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Availability and willingness to participate in after-hours on-call rotation
