Job Mission

The FP&A Analyst will support planning and forecasting process. An Ideal candidate will have a strong desire to drive organizational improvement and never settling for the status-quo. FP&A Analyst will use their strong financial knowledge to add narratives to financials, forecasts, budgets and provide valuable insight to the business, as well as assist in preparing a wide range of ad hoc reports. FP&A Analyst will collaborate across the entire organization and will have the opportunity to help inform and develop strategic business initiatives. In addition to building on the foundation for developing actionable insights, they will play a critical role in budgeting/forecasting and help develop business growth opportunities by diving deep into data.

Major Accountabilities

• Build and maintain annual budgets and monthly forecasts including developing and maintaining detailed driver-based financial models
• Work with supply chain team to align financial signal with the supply, shipment and inventory forecast
• Work with Retail, Ecommerce, and wholesale teams on forecast/budget
• Upload of forecast and budgets into the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and Oracle platform
• Identify, quantify, communicate out and address areas of risk and opportunities within the business
• Provide P&L estimates towards the end of the month to present in management review meetings
• Build relationships with senior leaders throughout the organization and provide support to help the team identify strategic initiatives;
• Prepare monthly financial packages (power point decks) for various stakeholders and audiences
• Track, analyze and develop value-added KPIs, highlight the trends, analyze cause of unexpected variance and provide valuable commentary to explain the variance drivers and business trend
• Monitor product, customer and model margins – highlighting discrepancies and suggesting corrective actions
• Prepare in-depth analysis, internal reports, and any other ad hoc financial analysis required by management
• Prepare Power Point decks for business reviews, budget/forecast meetings and any other management meetings
• Partner with Accounting to understand the financial impact of accounting entries

Requirements For Success

• University degree in business, finance or related field and working towards CPA or MBA
• 2-5 years progressive FP&A experience
• Advanced Excel and Power Point skills are critical to the role: Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling experience.
• Experience with Oracle and D365 is desirable.
• Experience in the athletic footwear/apparel industry is a huge asset.
• Ability to operate and influence in a matrix organization and develop good working relationships across many functions, regions, and distribution channels
• Excellent organizational, time management, problem solving, strategic thinking, research/ analysis skills and attention to detail
• Ability to present with confidence in management meetings
• Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly
