INTRODUCTION:
New Path Youth and Family Services is an accredited children’s mental health agency providing a range of compassionate, innovative and accessible services for children, youth and their families throughout Simcoe County.
PURPOSE OF POSTION:
To provide brief services to families with children, birth to age 18 with a focus on under aged 6 population, with social, emotional or behavioural problems in their home, school and communities. Service may include individual, family or group sessions, using evidence-based programs. To provide early years training to parents, children, and early childhood educators.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor of Social Work (B.S.W.). B.S.W. in progress may be considered.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children, youth and their families in a children’s mental health or related service.
3. Direct work with children individually and in groups: consultation work with early childhood programs and other community organizations.
4. Knowledge of: typical and atypical child development; family systems and family-centered practice; early intervention system as it pertains to identification assessment, coordinated planning and intervention is preferred.
5. Experience delivering Walk-in Clinic service model.
6. Experience working with evidence based/informed programs.

8. Commits to ongoing training to build the knowledge, awareness and skills that contribute to a creating a culturally safe environment for staff, clients and families.
9. Competency and effective use of database and Microsoft Office systems.
10. Confident, articulate and professional when communicating verbally and in writing.
11. French language is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be available to provide 4 hours per week of direct service to clients after 5 p.m. (evening appointments) to accommodate client and family schedules.
2. Willingness to travel to other agency offices and the community using personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license with minimum G2.
3. Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
