Job description:
-Provides ongoing one-on-one or group intervention at clinic/home intervention sessions/daycare setting to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder or other special needs.
-Follows a comprehension program (that teaches language acquisition, social skills, behavioral regulation, and self-help skills) designed by a Ministry of Child and Family Development Registered Autism Service Provider–Behavior Consultant
-Paid rate: $18-$23/hour, depending on experience or performance. Hourly rate can be re-negotiated with outstanding performance within the commitment period.
Requirements:
-Willing to commute to clients’ home/daycare
-High energy, talkative, fun and engaging individual who loves working with children
-Post-secondary education in related study is an asset but not a must
-Number of sessions per week: at least 2 or more
-Must be 19 years of age and older
-Current criminal record check required
