New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Project Manager to help our client with application development or implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Follow defined PMO processes and create required documentation
- Write IRFs, PARS and Project Charters
- Define project tasks and resource requirements
- Identify IT components and scope within Engineering projects
- Develop full scale project plans
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Maintain project RAID log.
- Follow monthly status reporting procedures, including updating IEPs
- Provide direction and support to project team
- Quality assurance
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
- Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
- Manages the implementation and/ or enhancement to the system(s) and related
- interfaces.
- Manages the relationship with the vendors and ensures they prioritize the Airport Authority
- requirements and meet their deliverable timelines and budgets.
- Initiates project following appropriate project management methodology including gathering and defining project requirements, developing business case, project charter, project plan, budget, and schedule, identifying staffing requirements, and forming project team.
- Balances workload, provides technical and analytical guidance and work direction to project team, including scheduling, assignment of work, review of project efforts and removal of roadblocks which may inhibit project success.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience as a Project Manager
- Project Management related experience with proven on-time, on-budget delivery of complex implementation projects
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity while under
- time constraints.
- Exceptional facilitation skills with the ability to drive decisions in difficult circumstances.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective client relationships and negotiate win-win outcomes.
- Calm under pressure, remaining organized, structured, focused and efficient.
- Ability to mentor and coach staff
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience in the business analysis tasks required to determine and implement new processes.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent is an asset.
