Location: Brampton, Ontario
Reports to: Manager, Finance
This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Finance Canada. Responsibilities include providing the necessary support to deliver solid financial results and supply chain analytics for the Business Units. This role will require active involvement in the month end, budget, and forecasting process for the Canadian region, working very closely with the Business Unit Finance and Operations teams.
Duties include:
Maintain and load accurate item costing while ensuring compliance with NWL policy and related central supply chain guidance
Analyze annual cost roll and provide variance analysis
Investigate and resolve costing issues
Prepare budget and forecast for OCOGS variances (excluding Distribution & Transportation)
Ownership over foreign exchange analytics and forecasting / budgeting
Perform capitalized variance analysis and associated entries
Responsible for inventory projections and balance sheet analytics
Prepare excess & obsolete analysis and load the regional stat accounts by Division
Track business risks and opportunities for the above areas
Month end closing journal entries
G/L account reconciliations
Responsible for compiling monthly reporting
Ad hoc projects as assigned
Experience Required:
University Degree
8+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance field
Accounting designation
Solid Business acumen
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Superior teamwork and communication skills
Proven self-starter
Sound judgment and problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP experience a plus
Hyperion/NB Plan experience a plus
Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience a plus
