Temporary Switchboard Clerk – Procurement
District Headquarters – St. John’s
Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Procurement, the Switchboard Clerk is responsible for responding and/or directing all general public inquiries for the District.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring security procedures are followed respecting visitors.
Coordinating meeting room bookings.
Communicating electronically to employees regarding inquiries for service.
Preparing outgoing mail, arranging courier services, receiving/sorting/delivering mail and packages for both internal departments and schools.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have completed a one-year specialized post-secondary education in Office Administration with minimum one-year relevant work experience. Equivalencies may be considered.
CUPE 1560 Salary Scale (CG-21): $20.81 – $22.67 per hour
