We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be a key finance team member that will design, implement and manage performance models required to enable consistent analytics to sustain operational improvements. The analyst will create various financial profitability models which will assist senior management in making strategic decisions. This role is highly visible and will be an integral part of the organization.
The Senior Financial Analyst reports to Senior Vice President, Finance. This role includes significant interfaces and engagement with NFP’s CFO, COO and M&A groups.
COVID-19 Update: Please note in some locations we’ve activated hybrid plans for our offices. Standard operating hours generally remain intact for offices in the hybrid environment. The ability to commute primarily to the Downtown Toronto, ON location and travel to other offices as needed is required.
What You’ll Do
Be a key analytical resource for FP&A, COO, and M&A teams seeking financial data across the organization
Create and maintain a monthly reporting package for the senior management team
Consolidate monthly financial statements, KPI’s and financial commentary comparing actual results to budgets
Regularly collaborate with executives and department leaders to interpret and/or validate performance measurements, attributions, profit-and-loss measurements, and forecasting future results
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, annual revenue, and operations expense budget process for various departments across multiple channels and entities
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Capture, track and report on integration synergies and performance KPIs
Create various reporting templates within Salesforce
Be the point person for head office financial information requests i.e., financial analysis
Be the NFP Canada resident expert for the financial systems and will assist with training new staff and assist with integrating new acquisitions onto NFP’s financial systems i.e., Cognos, AVID, Lawson, SalesForce, Calidus, Epic, etc.
The Role at NFP
Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Data Analysis or a similar discipline
Typically, 4+ years of professional experience as a corporate accountant, business data analyst or financial analyst
Experience in financial modeling and profitability is desirable
Strong knowledge of financial statements and budgeting
Strong quantitative skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
Ability to develop, effectively prioritize, and execute plans, including the creation of materials/resources and timelines for completion in a high-pressure environment
Proven ability to influence key stakeholders in setting strategic direction and approach to implementation
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly self-motivated and directed
Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment
Proficient in the use of MS Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Cognos
