Applications are invited for the position of Academic Business Manager in the Academic and Liberal Studies Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus. The salary range is $68,911 to $86,140 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
Reporting to the Dean, Academic and Liberal Studies, the successful candidate is accountable for the planning, development, organization, and support of the divisional operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sourcing, hiring part time faculty and part-time support staff as designated by the Dean
Coordinating part-time contracts
Assisting the Dean, and Associate Dean(s), in developing and managing divisional and funded projects budgets
Coordinating facilities and equipment upgrading/replacement processes
Responsible to the Dean for ensuring capital and operating funds are effectively managed and processes and controls meet college standards
Developing, in conjunction with the Dean and Associate Dean(s), program planning activities related to projects and other special activities within the division
Qualifications:
Three (3) year diploma/degree in business, finance, or similar field of study
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an academic environment or related field
Demonstrated financial and budget management skills
Demonstrated experience with Human Resources practices
Proven networking and collaboration skills
Excellent communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage confidential files and information
Demonstrated ability to prioritize within a multi-faceted work environment
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong working knowledge of software applications and databases (Blackboard and Peoplesoft)
