Nick Day Design is a custom millwork shop specializing in residential cabinetry and furniture for Toronto clients. Seeking a skilled installer to join our growing team.
The main role of this position is installation with a portion of time spent assisting with production in the shop.
Projects include a range of residential built-in cabinetry including kitchens, vanities, shelving, closets, wall paneling etc. We work with a range of materials (wood veneers, solid woods, MDF, melamine) with a focus on veneer and spray lacquer finishes.
Looking for a qualified candidate who is able to work at a high quality level, who takes pride in their work and can problem solve effectively.
Duties
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings and follow detailed instruction
- Installation of millwork to a high finish standard according to plans provided
- Skilled at problem solving issues that may arise during installation
- Maintain a clean and safe work space. Safe operation of tools and equipment
- Ensure attention to detail and proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may affect completion of the job
Qualifications
- Experience in cabinet installation and cabinet making. Minimum 3-5 years
- Able to operate all standard woodworking tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Valid G Class Driver’s License
- Good attitude and a team player
