About the Job:
We are looking for a passionate Director of People & Culture with a strong desire to be a part of our growing company. We know our biggest asset is our people, and we need your help in growing and retaining our amazing team. You will report to the CFO and will plan, direct, and oversee all things related to HR. Our ideal candidate has a CHRL designation and a degree in business, human resources, or related field, with 5-7 years of experience at a senior level. Flexibility and experience working at a start-up or fast-growing company would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:
Full cycle HR leadership activities, including leading the development and delivery of the on-boarding, recruitment and retention, benefits management, performance management, health and safety, employee relations, compliance training and development of programs, and development and maintenance of policies and procedures
Oversee the attraction, recruitment, and retention of the best people in both Canada, the USA and internationally, while working closely with our leaders to understand their specific needs
Be a brand ambassador by ensuring that all our internal and external facing content matches our culture and brand
Oversee all Recruitment activities including planning, events, virtual events etc.
Be expert in legislative knowledge of all things HR
Lead the organization in building a culture of open communication and feedback and ensure it goes through all levels of the organization. Establish processes to regularly solicit feedback from employees to improve the organization
Promote and cultivate positive and trusting relationships with all leaders and employees and ensure managers reflect that culture.
Collaborate with leaders to develop and monitor career path plans for employees, including compensation plans and performance goals
Stay up to date on the latest technologies and best practices, implementing them when appropriate by justifying the ROI to the organization
Lead a team consisting of an HR Generalist with an expectation of adding more team members in the first 12 months of leadership
Manage the Benefit Plan
Ensure that compliance for information management systems and processes are maintained
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Business, Human Resources, or another relevant field
CHRL designation in good standing
Minimum of 5-7 years of proven success in a HR Leadership role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with outstanding EQ
Personable, trustworthy and great at building relationships at all levels of the organization
Adaptable, creative, and agile with a growth mindset
Ability to create a strategic vision for HR
Demonstrated experience in building an engaged and inclusive culture.
