JOB SUMMARY – Clinical Support Supervisor

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Clinical Support Supervisor will lead and support the Home Support Department. (Clients, Coordination and PSWs/Home Support)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will supervise and support Nightingale Nursing Registry Ltd.’s Home Support Staff/Clients
• Ensure compliance with CELHIN, provincial, CNO and Nightingale standards of practice
• Ensure timely and professional experiences for all Home Support staff at onboarding and during daily operations
• Ensure that all client concerns are addressed and participate in client satisfaction initiatives
• Promote Nightingale Nursing Registry Ltd. locally and at community events
• Uphold and assist with Health and Safety initiatives
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding our clients, staff, and company
• Home Support Program –

Ø Home Support visits, provide health teaching, Health and Safety and direction relating to Home Care Best Practices, reporting unusual circumstances/incidents

Ø Complete client visits, staff training

Ø Observe and address employee documentation

Ø Provide direction, support, and delegation to PSWs

Ø Minimum 1 day a week presence in the Cobourg office

Ø Performance Evaluations/performance managing

Ø Participate in case conferences

Ø Manage Cobourg and Peterborough Divisions as they relate to Home Care

JOB QUALIFICATION (Education)

• Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse, must have current CNO license
• The Clinical Support Supervisor will have previous experience in the Home Care sector

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two (2) years leadership experience
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of clinical/non-clinical employees and interpret company policies, strong track record in health teaching
• Knowledge of CELHIN practices and processes
• Prioritize, multitask, problem solving skills
• Travelling is required, evidence of a valid drivers’ license, current CPR certification
• Knowledge of CNO professional standards
• Excellence in communication, both written and verbal
• Commitment to customer service and teamwork
• Demonstrated individual leadership skills
• Additional duties as they relate to the Manager role
