Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant. The Junior Accountant will support the finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank statements, processing payroll, and other duties as assigned. The Junior Accountant will also assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting and preparation of financial statements.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in accounting and bookkeeping
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is an asset
• Experience in the steel fabrication or construction industry is an asset
