Location: Greater Toronto Area

There are 3 Levels of PM outlined:

Project Manager – Level 1

The L1-Project Manager (PM-L1) is responsible for overseeing the development of instructor-led training materials and web-based learning solutions, in a matrix organization. Is the main point of contact, oversees internal and client status meetings, creates project schedules, and is the first level of escalation.

Key Tasks:

  • Attend user interface and instructional design scoping meetings with the NIIT designer and client learning group.
  • Prepare project schedules and determine necessary resourcing for development.
  • Manage the hand-off of materials between various teams
  • Lead project kickoff meetings
  • Conduct risk and quality planning meetings with functional leads.
  • Lead project status meetings. Create status reports and meeting agendas and send out post-meeting minutes to participants.
  • Work with the Level 3 Project Manager to recommend project staffing solutions resourcing requirements to functional managers.
  • Ensure the team logs their time in the time tracking system against completed project work.
  • Communicate scope creep and delivery.
  • Serve as the client’s first point of escalation.
  • Send post-project quality surveys (CSS surveys) at the conclusion of a project.
  • Advise Level 3 PM on decisions to add and release development resources on projects as needed.
  • Attend internal department meetings and customer meetings when required.

Experience and Skillset

  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Project
  • Worked in an L&D organization and relevant design/development experience

Project Manager – Level 2

The L2-Project Manager (PM-L2) is responsible for overseeing the design, development, delivery, and implementation of instructor-led training materials, web-based learning solutions, or game-based learning in a matrix organization. Oversees one or more Level 1 PM and internal and client status meetings. Creates and Reviews project schedules and budgets. L2 Project managers will be expected to participate in the solution process by making presentations and solution definitions.

Key Tasks:

  • Attend user interface and instructional design scoping meetings with the NIIT designer and client learning group.
  • Prepare and review project schedules and determine necessary resourcing for development.
  • Manage the hand-off of materials between various teams
  • Lead project kickoff meetings
  • Conduct risk and quality planning meetings with functional leads.
  • Lead project status meetings. Create status reports and meeting agendas and send out post-meeting minutes to participants.
  • Work with the Level 3 Project Manager to recommend project staffing solutions resourcing requirements to functional managers.
  • In addition to the L1 PM, serve as the client’s first escalation point.
  • Send post-project quality surveys (CSS surveys) at the conclusion of a project.
  • Advise Level 3 PM on decisions to add and release development resources on projects as needed.
  • Attend internal department meetings and customer meetings when required.

  • 2-5 years of experience

  • Worked in an L&D organization and relevant design/development experience

Project Manager – Level 3

The L3-Project Manager (PM-L3) is responsible for overseeing project development and maintaining client relationships across multiple projects. L3 PMs may also be asked to participate solutions process by creating solution designs in tandem with the Design organization.

Managing the relationships between NIIT and key stakeholders, serving as a point of escalation after the project manager, financial forecasting, budget creation and management and revenue accrual, project resourcing, and ensuring project teams deliver high-quality course materials according to agreed-upon schedules.

Key Tasks:

  • Attend Governance meetings with the Service Delivery Manager/Head
  • Prepare and Review project schedules and determine necessary resourcing for development.
  • Oversee L2 and L1 PMs
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings
  • Review and Conduct risk and quality planning meetings with functional leads.
  • Lead project status meetings. Create Review and present status reports and meeting agendas and send out post-meeting minutes to participants.
  • Work with the L2 and L1 PMs to review project staffing solutions and resourcing requirements to functional managers.
  • Advise the Service Delivery Manager on decisions to add and release development resources on projects as needed.
  • Attend internal department meetings and customer meetings when required.

Experience and Skillset

  • >4 years of experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Microsoft Project
  • Worked in an L&D organization and have relevant design/development experience.
