We’re currently looking for a Loss Recovery Representative to join our team in Mississauga, ON.
This role will be responsible for maximizing recoveries while minimizing collection losses. Will be responsible for working with and monitoring activities of Legal, Bailiff and other Vendors.
Job functions Include but are not limited to:
Administer accounts in house – Assess all loss recovery files to determine optimal course of action for recovery of remaining balances and asset. Review account history, prior collection activity and financial stability of customer and co-signor; Utilize research tools to obtain and analyze information, i.e. credit bureaus. Contact customers to make payment arrangements. Initiate skip trace process on charge off accounts. Make sound decisions regarding debt repayment and settlement offers, request supporting documents once file is closed and process credit bureau updates
Answer inbound and make outbound calls on accounts that have moved from collections to loss recovery. Manage their activity/progress to ensure prompt results.
Assign accounts to legal counsel or bailiff – Provide clear written instructions and required back up documentation as needed. Monitor progress of file and request ongoing up-dates. Collaborate with legal counsel and/or bailiff team throughout the process, review their recommendations and provide feedback and input
Reporting – Submit end of day stats summarizing the day’s work. Continuously update settlement and legal assignment tracker with pertinent information. Maintain KPI report, providing monthly performance updates to management
Minimum Qualifications:
Excellent English communication skills , both verbal and written (French is preferred but not required)
Minimum high school diploma combined with minimum 1 year experience in automotive finance including credit, collections, customer service and insurance areas.
Proficiency in Word/Excel/Outlook and adapting to new computer systems is required
Able to multi-task, have strong decision making and analytical skills
