As the face of our brand to potential clients, your responsibility is to generate new revenue for NGB by selling our suite of brokerage and/or software services to Canadian importers and US exporters to Canada. To readily identify where NGB can add value, you need to understand Canadian customs and the importing process, and be able to problem-solve with potential clients. As we are now a distributed company, you’ll need to be self-directed and ambitious – while your base salary will be decent, high-performers will experience significant upside. While we are open to considering people with strong B-to-B sales record in any industry, our preference would be to hire someone with experience in selling customs brokerage solutions to Canadian importers and US exporters to Canada. Excellent communications and writing skills
Familiarity with current technologies (EDI, XML, Internet, etc.)
Familiarity with various customs initiatives (e.g., CARM, ACROSS, CSA, AMPS)
Industry experience in customs, freight, or logistics
Experience developing marketing and sales plans
Experience in Microsoft Office products (Powerpoint, Excel, MS Word)
Developing business proposals to support your sales efforts, including financially justifying investments
