NorQuesters are difference makers, and we are searching for energetic and experienced substitute instructors who are dedicated to making a difference in the ESL Intensive program. Your expertise teaching general Reading/Writing and Listening/Speaking classes (CLB 4-8) as well as English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses is essential. Your teaching philosophy aligns with helping English language learners meet occupational and/or academic language proficiency requirements. You are committed to providing an inclusive, intercultural learning environment for permanent residents, citizens, and international students in a blended model of daytime face-to-face and online classes. As a difference maker you bring
SALARY Reflective upon what you bring, AKA your education and experience. This is a casual, 14-week appointment with the possibility of extension, enrolment dependent and also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
Substitute teaching opportunities are available on an ad hoc basis, and hours are not guaranteed. The ESL Intensive program is offered online on Monday and in-person at the downtown campus Tuesday through Friday.
This is a Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, the Faculty Association agreement Appendix A outlines how pay is determined.
