The North Vancouver City Library is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and technologically savvy Library Technician to join our team.
As part of the Community, Learning & Access Services team, the successful candidate will be able to provide a range of library public service for all ages, including information and reader’s advisory services, programming and outreach, collection management activities, and technology support and instruction.
Focus areas for this position include: programming and learning, technology assistance and instruction, and services to children, teens, families and caregivers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Qualifications:
Completion of an approved Library Technician diploma program including relevant courses, plus some customer service or library experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
The ability to appropriately incorporate Indigenous ways of knowing into programs or to deliver programs and services in a language other than English would be an asset.

Schedule:
Tuesday 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Thursday 1:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Schedules are reviewed periodically and subject to change. Evening and weekend work may be required.
