Salary:
$43.80 – $49.70, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay.
Description:
Northern Lights College is seeking an individual with an exceptional ability for instructing students to teach one section (by video conference) of ENGL 099: University Preparation. This is a bridging course that covers fundamental academic writing concepts to prepare students for the rigors of post-secondary writing.
This course load consists of 45 contact hours plus an equal amount of preparation hours, for a total of 90 hours.
Location of instructor may be either in Dawson Creek or Fort St John and will have the ability to video-conference to the other location.

Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s Degree in English, or in a closely related field.
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to student motivation and success; and the
Ability to function effectively as a team member through collaborative approaches to course pedagogy.
Preferred:
Instructional experience in a post-secondary environment, and;
The Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or an equivalent credential in adult education.
