People and Culture Manager (Fixed term contract)

Novarc is currently looking for an experienced People and Culture Manager to take the place of the current manager while she is on Maternity Leave. This will be a one year contract starting at the beginning of August to ensure a clean handover. As People and Culture Manager, you will be coordinating day-to-day office services by organizing office operations and procedures. This position will play an integral role in the organizational strength of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the full cycle recruitment process including hiring, managing group benefits and EAP plan, updating HR policies as required, managing the HRIS system

• Oversee onboarding and updating of training processes

• Identify short, medium & long-term basis staffing requirements and apply HR management skills to attract & retain quality employees

• Manage and oversee the HRIS system (ADP Workforce Now)

• Manage contracting with all employees and contractors

• Develop and implement policies and procedures in both HR and OHS

• Develop and administer all organizational HR plans, policies, various handbooks, and procedures and ensure legal/government/regulation compliance

• Develop, implement, and lead performance improvement plan/process

• Manage continuing education and PPE budgets

• Manage employee options awards

• Identify opportunities for engagement through employee surveys and recognition programs

• Manage and develop performance evaluations

• Oversee and ensure proper implementation of the offboarding process

• Assist in website development and updating to ensure HR communications are considered and are accurate

• Provide professional, confidential executive support. Identify and solve concerns. Act as a point of contact for any HR and OHS queries

• Plan and coordinate social and corporate events

• Be the company’s culture and brand ambassador

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirement knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills; professional and confident phone manners, in-person reception, and host abilities

• Excellent written communication skills; ability to edit correspondence and reports

• 3-5 years of experience in HR or office administration or a similar role

• High level of professionalism, energy, speed, and accuracy

• Positive attitude, with an eagerness to learn and grow

• High Proficiency in Google Drive including Google Sheets, Docs and Forms
