We are currently seeking a Compensation Senior Specialist to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).
Develops implements, administers and maintains compensation programs which support company objectives and local practices. Areas of expertise include base pay, incentive pay and performance management. Participates in compensation surveys and ensures competitive pay practices are maintained globally. Evaluates programs, trends, advances and/or new technologies and makes recommendations for changes and improvements. Advises managers on compensation-related issues. Works with external vendors to develop, administer and design new or modify existing programs or systems. Keeps abreast of compensation trends and ensures company compliance with all governmental laws concerning compensation practices globally.Key liaison between compensation and other HR departments, as well as senior management and outside service providers.
Reviews and analyzes current compensation programs and makes suggestions to ensure competitiveness to attract, retain and motivate employees.
Participates in and leads compensation projects for a particular employee group or geographic location.
Ensures compensation design and processes are integrated with delivery of other HR processes and programs.
Handles more complex compensation questions from employees / leaders.
