The Opportunity
The HR Coordinator role is responsible for performing a range of important HR and office functions within the organization, including talent acquisition, employee onboarding and off-boarding, payroll, health & safety and supporting initiatives that are aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
Reporting directly to the People & Culture Manager, the HR Coordinator is crucial in managing the day to day office & human resources related tasks while providing an exceptional employee experience.
What You’ll Do
1. Recruitment:
· Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and job requirements.
· Post job openings on various platforms and manage the candidate application process.
· Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring teams.
· Maintain accurate records of applicants and recruitment activities.
2. Onboarding:
· Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork, orientation, and training coordination.
· Ensure that new employees have a smooth transition into their roles and the company culture.
3. Payroll Management:
· Manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment for assembly employees and USA temporary employees.
· Verify timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with AP & P&C Manager.
· Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
4. Temporary Staff Management:
· Act as the main point of contact for temporary staff, addressing their concerns and issues promptly.
· Monitor the performance and attendance of temporary staff members.
· Escalate issues to higher management when necessary, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
5. Compliance and Policies:
· Stay current with labor laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure all HR and payroll practices are compliant.
· Assist in developing and updating HR & Health & Safety policies and procedures.
6. Communication:
· Communicate effectively with internal teams, temporary staff, and external partners.
· Provide clear instructions and support to temporary staff regarding company policies and procedures.
7. Office Operations:
· Oversee day-to-day office operations, including managing office supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
· Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
Who You Are
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources (or equivalent experience).
· Passion for beauty & skincare.
· 1 to 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Office Administration is preferred.
· Exceptional organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Experience with Dayforce or similar HRIS is preferred.
· Experience with Microsoft Office is required.
Note: This is an onsite role for 5 days a week at 274 Edgely Blvd, Vaughan, ON
