My client is looking for an Application Support developer to join their team. Get to learn areas of Retail Banking while in a supportive environment with a great team. It is a virtual team as everyone can work remotely.
Responsibilities/Duties
MS SQL Server Intermediate level knowledge, able to write and modify SQL statements and understand SQL server connectivity and performance issues.
IIS server intermediate knowledge. Able to identify IIS issues
Manage WorkDesk Application.
Windows Server 2008 trouble shooting.
Write or modify Windows PowerShell scripts.
Write programs in VB 6.0 and modify.
Support Kofax Utilities, read and understand server back locks and fax routing system and originations
Access DB / legacy systems support
Triage escalations to ensure incidents are prioritized and remediated in the most effective manner and accountable for ensuring that infrastructure and platforms within LBC are supported in a timely and effective manner.
Work individually as well as with IT and business partners
Accountable to present solutions to senior management for identified systemic issues.
Timely escalation within LBC as well as within Vendor management structures
Point of contact for support on new products and initiatives; accountable to ensure teams create and roll out a support model in line with the existing operations; work with Agile project teams to understand new & enhanced technologies and ensure that knowledge is effectively passed from development to support
Minimum Requirements
University Degree in Computer related disciplines, covering Programing fundamentals, Data structures, Communication networks, Database fundamentals, with 5 to 10 years of related experience.

College Diploma in Computer related disciplines, covering Programing fundamentals, Data structures, Communication networks, Database fundamentals, with 5 to 10 years of related experience.
Experience with Financial Institution technology support
ITIL Certification
ASP #C or ASP .NET programming knowledge.
Shell script, power shell scripting knowledge.
HTML, IIS server knowledge.
Experience with Windows 10 and MS 365
Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.
Demonstrated ability in core and role specific competencies including customer service, teamwork, adaptability
Bilingual (English/French) verbal and written communication skills are an asset.
Work Environment
