Position Summary
The Site Administrator is focused on assisting the Supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the site by regulating purchasing and maintaining required inventory. Working out of the Giant Mine site, the Site Administrator will work with consumables and inventory, tracking costs and producing reports, tracking freight and equipment.
This is a full-time permanent position that offers a competitive hourly rate and full benefits.
Position Responsibilities
Performs all duties assigned by the Site Surface Supervisor or Project Manager.
Manage documentation for ensuring contract conformance.
Maintain compliance with all monitoring and documentation required by the Client and the Northwest Territories Mine Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
The position is responsible for all inventories tracking on site.
Maintain acceptable level of consumables on hand by purchasing supplies ahead of time pursuing the most economical options / supplies.
Order parts as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor, which includes writing purchase orders and coding them correctly.
Ensure that the LME request form is completed when ordering third party requests.
Shipping / Receiving of freight, accurate labeling for Deton Cho Nuna or others Freight.
Tracking of freight and back-order items.
Work with Accounts Payable to ensure that they have all the necessary back-up information to pay suppliers and invoice client.
Regularly scheduling and conducting informal safety inspections of site, equipment, and tools, ensuring corrective actions are implemented as required.
Manage issuance and inventory of site PPE.
Filing contractor and subcontractor reports.
Provide administrative assistance to the Surface Supervisor and Project Manager.
Administration of employee forms and document.
Enter and track equipment charges and locations.
Compile LME reports produced from entries made into the database.
Monitor and enter material charge backs into the database from invoices and sub-contractors timesheets.
Assist with billings preparations as assigned.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Strong purchasing and/ or inventory control experience, preferably in the mining industry.
Working knowledge of various computer programs including Microsoft Suite, purchasing and/ or inventory software.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Purchasing / Warehousing / Administration in the mining industry or with experience in the Heavy Civil (earthworks), oil and gas, industrial construction, and contracting industries;
All successful candidates must:
Be proficient in English, both verbally and written.
Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Eligible to work for any employer in Canada.
Resides within the Yellowknife, NT. region.
