The Coordinator, Safety Equipment will report to the SHS, Manager. This position is located in Redwater, Alberta, Canada and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:
Issue, monitor, track, and maintain records of safety equipment and safety equipment maintenance: respiratory protection (e.g. SCBA/EBA/Full and Half mask respirators/air cylinders), fall protection (e.g. SRLs, lanyards, harnesses, tripods), fire extinguishers, gas detectors (calibration gas, loaner gas detectors)

Conduct post-use inspections, minor repair, and cleaning of safety equipment. Inspect, fill, replace air cylinders and scott air packs. Coordinate safety equipment repair with approved vendors. Communicate replacement requirements to Loss Prevention Coordinator, SHE Superintendent.

Management of site radios: maintain an accurate inventory of portable, mobile, and base radios and charging stations. Coordinate offsite radio repairs and rentals. Communicate reported system issues to site Loss Prevention Coordinator, SHE Superintendent.

Manage the iNet lease program and review and act upon iNet notifications to ensure sufficient availability of calibration gas, etc. Engage Loss Prevention coordinator in resolution of field issues and troubleshooting.

Create requisitons as required for servicing and procurement of safety equipment. Co-ordinate annual/certification safety equipment inspections for SEB managed safety equipment (e.g. breathing air compressor, fall protection harnesses, fire extinguishers)

What you will bring:
High School Diploma

Minimum 5 years relevant experience, preferably including safety equipment functions

Ability to move and carry items up to 50 lbs, and climb ladders and stairs.

Detail oriented and organized, with a high level of discipline and focus.

Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, process large volumes of data, and manage time effectively.

Required to interact at a customer service level with front line personnel.

Computer literate with experience and skill in the use of common Office applications and database management.
