This position reports to the Senior Supervisor, Mill Maintenance.
This position is located in (Vanscoy, SK, Canada) and is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
Maintain a safe working environment by upholding standards, being active and knowledgeable in safety programs and responding to crew safety concerns
Inspect area to determine problems and necessary maintenance
Supervise tradespeople during installations, repairs, shutdown’s and maintenance
Schedule daily work assignments for the crew
Assist in the planning process for the crew
Conduct and document regular safety meetings
Understand and abide by the Collective Bargaining Agreement and relevant regulations
Execute cost saving opportunities when available
Maintain a high level of reliability in the area
Technical support for Project Engineering initiatives
What you will bring:
Grade 12 Diploma or GED Equivalency
Mindset understanding the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the organization
Passion and commitment for Safety
Demonstrated history of demonstrating “Respect in the Workplace” values
Good computer skills, including the use of SAP and Microsoft Office Software
Organizational skills to be able to develop a daily schedule with minimal break in work
Regular assessment of trade skills and development of training plans
Must hold a Journeyperson certificate in a relevant trade or Engineering degree
