Reports to the Operations Superintendent.

This position is located in (Joffre, Alberta, Canada at the Chigwell Distrubution Terminal approximately 20km north of the Joffre Nitrogen Operation. ) and is not available for remote work.

What you will do:
Effectively manage product for delivery in accordance to Agrium Canada Partnership’s (Nutrien’s) Customer Agreement Product Standards

Manage Railyard Operation to carry out loading, scheduling inbound and outbound rail traffic, identify defective equipment for maintenance, as well as sealing and accounting of loading/offloading of railcars into management tools

Ensure safe, reliable operation of Ammonia Loading (Offloading) and general Railyard & Storage Operation

Responsible for overseeing truck loading, when required

Operate equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures as well as effectively maintain, revise & create Standard Operating Procedures when needed

Regular participation in scheduled turnarounds and short notice outages

Equipment monitoring, preparation for maintenance & Safe Work Permitting

Railyard management, rail-mover operation, railcar inspection & rail security

Safe operation of light & heavy equipment (ie: rail movers, skid steer, trucks, forklift)

Investigate, diagnose and request repair of equipment within Areas of Responsibility

Documentation, accounting, auditing and log data entry

Primarily day-shift operations, on rotational shift schedule

Evening coverage may be required during peak shipping seasons (Spring and Fall) due to extended hours of operation

What you will bring:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Process Operator or Power Engineering Certificate (4th or 5th), or willing to achieve this certification, would be an asset

2 years minimum of related experience

Ability to work both independently, in a team environment, and possess strong interpersonal skills

Must be capable of performing physically active duties on a routine basis

Willingness to work outside, year-round, in varied weather conditions

Motivated with an enthusiasm for continuous learning

Knowledge of operating heavy equipment including rail car mover, forklift, and skid steer

Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook required

Demonstrated experience in a Process Operation or Terminal preferred

Knowledge of Provincial, Interprovincial or International Transport Regulation an asset
