The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Civil Foreman to support various projects in Alberta and British Columbia. Project details will vary based on site locations. Rates and allowances will also vary based on the location of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety meetings
- Set up work completion schedules
- Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials
- Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations
- Communicating the job to and with craft workers
- Supervising crew tasks
- Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements
- Assist Project Manager on daily reports, schedules and manpower
Requirements
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience is a definite asset
- Experience in heavy civil and road work
- Knowledgeable in the MS suite of applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Flexible during times of change
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Previous experience in civil/earthworks projects
- Drivers license, clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation
