OCL Group Inc. (OCL), is a proudly 100% Canadian, privately held, employee-owned, fully integrated general contractor with design-build solutions across Western Canada. The formation of OCL was a direct result of a few long-tenured industry professionals with an entrepreneurial spirit, wanting to get back to their roots and build an organization “where people matter”. The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Foremen with industrial oil and gas facility experience to work a 6/1 rotation till late October. LOA provided.
Working Conditions
- 6 days on, 1 day off
- 60 hours per week. Most shifts start at 7:00 am but hours may vary based on site requirements
- Overtime and work on weekends as required
- One paid 30-minute break and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break per day
- Drug and alcohol test required
Responsibilities And Duties
- Communication with team through daily safety meetings
- Set up work completion schedules
- Assist with project estimating, including labour, supplies and materials
- Execute work in line with federal, provincial and client and company quality standards, codes and safety regulations
- Communicating the job to and with tradesmen/ workers
- Supervising crew tasks
- Daily interactions with client on progress and project requirements
- Assist General Superintendent on daily reports, schedules and manpower

Requirements
- 5 years of management and supervisory experience
- Qualified trades personnel with experience in oil and gas industry
- Knowledgeable in the MS suite of applications (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook)
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Offer guidance to project team, responsible for onsite day-to-day operations by influencing, developing, and implementing field project plans and schedule
- Ability to operate independently
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Previous experience in civil/earthworks projects an asset
- Previous plant experience is considered an asset
