Summary of the value of this new role
This role will evaluate our global procurement, administrative and production processes, and seek solutions to enhance the quality of our products and improve the efficiency of sourcing new and existing materials. The role involves close collaboration with ODI’s Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams, and managing relationships with our key suppliers.
Key responsibilities
Evaluate the cost of materials and provide overall cost impact of price changes for all plants, as well as determine cost savings opportunities on current materials
Provide creative options to source new & existing raw materials for all ODI’s plants
Review supply contracts and negotiate pricing & lead times for all locations
Manage and maintain key supplier relationships
Create supply-chain maps for all global facilities
Purchase of raw materials and ensure timely delivery
Identify the most cost-effective shipping solutions for all plants
Work with ODI Engineering team to source and analyze alternative materials used in production
Track current inventory levels (of key items) in all plants
Forecasting inventory requirements

Fluency in Spanish an asset but not necessary
Education and background that will make you a great fit
University or College education in Supply Chain Management or 2 + years in a related field
2 years direct purchasing experience
Experience working in the manufacturing and/or automotive industry, a definite asset
Professional designation through Supply Chain Canada, (SCMP) an asset
Strong MS Office skills

Travel Required to our plants to gain a full understanding of our operations or to meet with suppliers
