We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Life & Health Insurance Senior Customer Support Representative to join our OMA Insurance Service team.

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.*

Job Summary*
The Sr. Customer Support Representative is the first point of contact for insurance-related service support to members and to facilitate the resolution of member issues, complaints, and concerns, and responding to product or member advocacy-related inquires The Senior Customer Support Representative also assists members with their escalated inquiries.

You Will Make a Difference By*

• Listening and gathering information to educate members on insurance and financial solutions available to them through the OMA, based on their career stage.
• Assisting and supporting junior staff on the handling, procedures, and guidelines of member inquiries.
• Responding to members’ inquiries and requests for information about their current OMA insurance coverages, claim submission processes and making changes to their coverages.
• Referring members to our licensed insurance advisors for a consultation, a more in-depth conversation or assistance in making sound insurance decisions.
• Connecting members with OMA’s Property and Casualty insurers regarding their Home, Automobile, Office/Clinic, or other insurance needs.
• Reinforcing the value of insurance benefits available to members, and alternative options and points to consider before canceling their insurance coverage.
• Handling escalated inquiries and working with internal teams and business partners towards an effective resolution and response for members.
• Assisting members in navigating OMA and business partners’ insurance websites and portals.
• Participating with internal teams and business partners on insurance business initiatives, sharing member feedback, and suggesting areas of improvement to our programs and processes.

Requirements That Are Important to Us*

• Community College Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 4-5 years excellent customer service skills and knowledge of Group Life, Disability, Health, and Dental Insurance
• ACS (Associate Customer Service) is an asset
• ALMI (Associate Life Management Institute) is an asset
• FLMI (Fellow Life Management Institute) is an asset
• LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) is an asset
