SCOPE:
The Youth Cultural Intervention Worker is responsible to support youth one-on-one to provide immediate responses to youth involved with or transitioning out of the justice system. The Youth Cultural Intervention Worker will service the Thunder Bay Region to ensure that Indigenous youth build capacity, connection, identity, and self-esteem to reinforce safety, stabilization, and positive outcomes through land-based practices and Indigenous culture.
The Youth Cultural Intervention Worker will work with youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are involved with the justice system, police, probation, and parole systems. The Youth Cultural Intervention Worker will meet with the youth through person-to-person, voice-to-voice, email, social media, and other interactions which may occur in the community or neighborhood locations.

The Youth Cultural Intervention Worker will be directly accountable to the Branch Manager for the proper completion of the functions outlined in the job description.
