We’re Looking For
We are seeking a Mechanical Services Clerk with experience in customer service and office administration. You will work as part of our Mechanical Services team and will be responsible for administrative tasks related to operating a high performing and productive mechanic shop within the auction. You are the ideal candidate if you have excellent organization, customer service, and communication skills. You are computer-proficient, and able to multitask and meet deadlines while staying organized and professional. You thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and are self-motivated to succeed.
You Will
- Assist Mechanical Services team with administrative tasks which include, but are not limited to, securing quotes for parts and labor, arrange transportation for arbitration units, and filing of paperwork.
- Assist the Mechanical Services Team Lead with tasks which include working the front desk and coordinating with customers
- Assist during Sale Day by entering the required information in our systems
- Perform moderately complex clerical and numerical processing activities of a clerical nature including selecting, compiling, verifying, and processing data
- Perform discrepancy investigation and communicating same to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Electronically or manually enter moderately complex reports and processes data
- Fulfill other duties such as ordering office supplies, sorting and distributing mail, processing materials for courier, faxing documents, photocopying etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Must Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent in education
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- 1-2 years of office administration experience
- Tech-savvy, and comfortable using Google Suite
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Nice to Haves
- Prior experience automotive service writing or related experience
- Prior experience within the automotive remarketing industry
- Experience with AMS, VTrace, and other OPENLANE systems
