Reporting to the Senior Director BC LTC/AL, the Central Scheduling Team Lead will be responsible for the oversight of activities and deliverables of the Central Schedulers, development of staffing office schedule, audit of preposted schedules and the investigations into inaccuracies and or staffing complaints in relation to a posted schedule or call out procedure. The Team Lead will be responsible for the daily supervision of Central Scheduling team, monitoring performance standards and taking action, making revisions and addressing non-conformance items with staff in support to and with the director. The Team Lead will participate in recruitment, coaching, performance assessment and disciplinary activities. In addition, this role will have a working knowledge of recruitment, compensation and benefits leave administration and labour relations.

Please note you MUST reside in British Columbia, this position allows for a remote work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders in the development and implementation of schedules and staffing complement recommendations.
• Ability to think critically when working with stakeholders in providing recommendations and analysis
• Ability to investigate issues getting to root cause and present a solution for correcting errors.
• Ability to identify gaps in knowledge and develop training and or mentorship to improve performance
• Knowledge of Collective Agreements and Employment Standards Act and call in processes
• Ability to work in an environment with competing priorities and fixed deadlines
• Subject matter expertise in electronic scheduling systems preferably with Comvida
• Demonstrated effective business acumen and experience with and understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools and processes in the provision of [service] to an organization
• Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging [methodologies/systems/frameworks particular to area of service] in use in the health care sector
• Demonstrated project management experience including effectiveness with concurrently organizing, planning and coordinating operational initiatives with multiple project activities
• Demonstrated effectiveness in budget management and accountability
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including, ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy with diverse groups of stakeholders
• Demonstrated effective presentation skills including the ability to present and discuss complex information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding

Qualifications And Experience

• Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Post-secondary Health Care diploma an asset
• Minimum 2 years’ experience developing electronic schedules in a complex healthcare environment
• Minimum 1 year Supervisor experience in a complex healthcare environment
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with staffing/autocalling systems
• Experience in human resources staffing processes including:
• Empathetic and caring interpersonal customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask, network and promote services.
• Results focused in a pro-active busy environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute marketing plans and programs.
• Knowledge of the community and surrounding areas.
• Computer literate with knowledge of related software programs.
• The ability to successfully follow an established sales process, including closing sale transactions
• Must be prepared to respond to emergency situations.
• Must be willing to work the hours necessary to best respond to sales traffic thus ensuring optimal occupancy and community services delivery.
• Valid provincial driver’s license required as is access to a vehicle.
