Orangutech is looking for a driven and motivated Director of Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the sales team, fostering and supporting a co-operative, collaborative culture and relationships within Orangutech. The successful candidate will lead the team in creating an outreach plan to establish contact with the necessary and relevant stakeholders to nurture and grow relationships and opportunities.
Notice: Due to COVID-19, Orangutech is currently working from home for the foreseeable future. Our office is based in downtown Ottawa. This role is open to candidates who are capable of occasionally commuting to and from the office once normal office activities resume. Interviews will be conducted either over phone or video calls.
As the Director of Sales, you will:
– Understand the Government of Canada sales cycle including specific procurement processes.
– Uncover sales challenges (both internal and external), working collaboratively with the senior management team as well as the sales team to develop solutions to those problems and challenges.
– Facilitate regular meetings with the sales team, as well as stepping into support the team as and when required.
– Collaborate with Marketing, Strategic Partner Management, and Customer Success teams.
– Leverage Dynamics 365 (CRM) to maintain accurate performance records.
– Learn and maintain robust knowledge of the industry and strategic partners
– Report on weekly, quarterly, and annual KPIs for the team.
– Be responsible & accountable for the overall revenue figures within Orangutech across all different lines of business.
– Be a member of Orangutech’s leadership team, helping set goals, objectives, strategies, and tactics for the success of the company in the short-term and long-term.
– Mentor and develop your team.
– Develop high-level working relationships with key executives across Orangutech’s target market.
– Take part in executive presentations, events, and speaking engagements on behalf of Orangutech and its Partners.
What will you bring to Orangutech?’
– Previous experience working in a sales environment with Federal Government clients.
– Experience selling in a SaaS environment is considered an asset.
– Previous experience in managing and/or supervising the work of other sales professionals.
– 5+ years’ experience building sales teams.
– Bilingualism is considered an asset.
