Role Description
This full-time role is located in Ottawa, ON. The Site Foreman will be on the tools and responsible for supervising and coordinating workers, heavy equipment, and materials to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Foreman will also be responsible for communicating with clients, ensuring quality control, performing carpentry and maintenance, and maintaining project records.
Qualifications
● Project Coordination: Oversee daily demolition activities and manage worker assignments.
● Tool and Equipment Operation: Utilize and maintain power tools for various tasks. Conduct weekly inventory checks.
● Waste Management: Ensure environmentally compliant disposal of demolition waste.
● Safety Compliance: Uphold and enforce safety regulations, including vehicle safety requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment.
● Asbestos and Site Protection: Manage asbestos abatement and site protection.
● Site Assessments: Conduct inspections, prepare work plans, and participate in project walkthroughs.
● Resource Scheduling: Coordinate equipment, materials, and crew schedules.
● Professional Relationships: Foster and maintain professional interactions with colleagues.
● Scope Monitoring: Track project scope, document changes, and relay potential additional charges to the office.
● Company Vehicle Operation: Drive and maintain the company’s truck and trailer.
● Labor Management: Document labor hours and conduct daily headcounts.
● Training Oversight: Ensure team members are trained and certified.
● Reporting: Submit completion, quality, progress and incident reports to management.
● Post-Demolition Activities: Oversee site cleanup and restoration.
● Feedback Implementation: Gather team feedback and implement best practices.
● Certification Completion: Complete and renew required certifications as needed and requested by the employer to uphold industry standards and regulatory compliance.
