Out of The Box Packaging Looking for Logistics Coordinator at North York, ON Full Time

Overview:

Out of the Box Packaging Inc. operates a manufacturing/ QA facility that specializes in contract packaging and assembly. We offer a number of co-packing services to many companies looking for efficient, customized solution at affordable rates. We specialize in shrink wrapping, poly bagging and heat sealing, repacking, fulfillment and quality control work to name a few.

Location: North York, ON
Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week
Compensation: $41,600
Eligible to participate in the company’s co-paid extended health and dental plan after 6 months of full-time employment

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with procurement and supply chain operations to track incoming and outgoing materials, equipment and products to and from all OOTB facilities, supplier and client locations
• Prepare and manage the logistics schedule to ensure materials, equipment and products are on time; Scheduled, Picked up, Delivered, Re-routed / modified as needed
• Manage the transportation schedule efficiently to maximize workflow
• Keep detailed records related to shipments (past, current, and future)
• Perform forecasting analysis to estimate and plan shipment dates that correspond to production deadlines and client commitments

• Closely monitor the status of items ready to ship or move, maximizing warehouse space
• Consult regularly with suppliers, transportation vendors and management
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations to improve logistics efficiency and quality
• Ensure all projects are completed by the deadline

Required Skills and Competencies:

• 2+ years of related logistics experience
• Experience working in manufacturing or in a warehouse setting
• Training or education in a related field is preferred
• Strong communication skills including excellent English language skills and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong numeracy skills
• Flexibility
• Organizational skills and digital technology skills to maointain detailed records and spreadsheets
• Ability to work in collaboration with others. A team player motivated to adapt; lead and collaborate
