Ozery Family Bakery Looking for Logistics Specialist at Woodbridge, ON Full Time

The Logistics Specialist reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for planning arranging and supervising logistics of the company to ensure that products are delivered to the intended destination within the specified timeframe and within budget.

Duties & responsibilities:

· Manage day-to-day activities related to coordinating and scheduling delivery of orders with freight brokers and carriers.

· Prepare all paperwork associated with importing/ exporting goods including customs documents.

· Liaise with freight brokers, carriers, and import specialists for importing and exporting goods (including FDA and CFIA as required).

· Negotiate freight rates with freight brokers and carriers.

· Examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.

· Develop and prepare regular reports that include key performance metrics.

· Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to senior management.

· Audit carriers on a yearly basis to ensure they are in compliance with food transportation policies.

· Arrange for storage facilities when required, negotiate storage rates, monitor inventory, handle claims, and audit on a yearly basis to ensure certifications are up to date and in compliance with Ozery’s policies for food storage.

· Respond to internal and external queries related to storage and distributions services.

Skills & Experience Requirements:

· Requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in the logistics.

· Profound knowledge and understanding of logistics operations.

· High proficiency in English.

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

· Understanding of freight routes within Canada and US.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
