Job description
The Marketing Manager responsibilities can vary enormously, but always have this as a central objective and will use a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts and think creatively, devising new ways of communicating with established and potential customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To manage the marketing calendar and cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Monitoring and analyzing market trends.
Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability.
Managing the production of promotional material.
Liaising with other internal departments such as operations and franchisees.
Travelling to trade shows, conferences and sales meetings.
Assist in development and execution of marketing plans to deliver brand goals.
Analyze program performance and effectiveness, and provide recommendations to optimize.
Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
Manage external business partner relationships as needed in development and execution of marketing plans.
Keep abreast of industry changes and developments (tools, tactics, etc.).
Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget and direct marketing staff where budgets are devolved.
To manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution.
To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.
To manage market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products.
To develop and implement a company-wide plan to push product, working with all departments for its execution.
Develops and maintains a strong and productive relationship with both print and electronic media. Ensures the organization is understood by the media and the media are interested in presenting information to the public in a manner that informs and educates them on the company.
Manages the use of external resources as they pertain to the marketing function (e.g. advertising agency, printers, etc.).
Travel to restaurant units required weekly.
Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
Responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate Program.
Monitors all spending and contracts within restaurant location under Marketing Budget.
Ensures the development of advertising and promotional plans according to budget.
Plans and directs the work of the marketing department and is responsible for establishing overall objectives and priorities for the direction of the restaurant location.
Implementation of location specific marketing plans.
Organizes and facilitates on and off site events involving marketing, promotions and branding.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a special events calendar that ensures the efforts, resources and the volunteer time are utilized in a manner that provides the greatest return to the organization. Ensures all events are planned to capture the attention of the intended audience and the media.
Manages the production of each event ensuring all appropriate sponsorships are achieved and all details are managed in a creative, timely and cost efficient manner.
Maintains external and internal communications.
Manages day to day activity.
Provides strong, effective and highly visible leadership.
Provides ongoing assistance to the employees and volunteers to ensure they have the skills and confidence to deliver appropriate messages during company events or promotional occurrences.
Manages all social media accounts.
Implements social media strategies that successfully deliver information and key messages to the public regarding events and location specials.
Monitors all social media resources for reviews and customers complaints.
Reports to the Executive Director or Director of Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Marketing diploma or degree followed by a minimum of five years of professional services in marketing and communications leadership role.
Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
Proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities.
Thorough understanding of branding principles and tactics through multimedia including the Web.
Proven ability to design, develop and implement both strategic programs and supporting tactics.
Superior written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations.
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language.
Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframes.
Experience and knowledge of Retail/Food Service Industries.

Salary: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
