Job Description:
Parsons is seeking for an entry level CAD Technologist in their Markham office in Ontario to join the civil infrastructure group to be part of team working on projects of Roadways, Bridges, Transitways, Municipal and/or County arterial roads, side streets, multi-use pathways, parking facilities etc.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Drafting of Electrical layouts, Single Line Wiring Schematics in AUTOCAD and MicroStation

Be part of electrical project team and attend project meetings

Generate one-line diagrams, traffic signal wiring diagrams, roadway lighting wiring diagrams and electrical details

Coordinate on site with electrical contractor and Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

3 or 2-year Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma and preferably 1 year of related work experience. (Experience is desired but not mandatory, On Job training provided to fresh out of school Technologist)

Proficient in the utilization of current electrical engineering theories and practices.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Potential to perform in an engineering team, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are desired.

Strong background in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is desired.
